Meet Dusty

Sadly Dusty was hit by a car yesterday and didn't make it. Our sympanthies to her carer and we hope Dusty is happy over the rainbow bridge after all she'd been through

Dusty is a lovely little girl who has had a rough life. She was found roaming the streets scared and hungry. When she was finally brought into care she was in a very poor state having mammary lumps, skin irritations, ear infections and on top of all that she was pregnant. Since being in care she has had the mammary lumps removed (they turned out to be nothing serious) and her ear and skin infections are all healed. Dusty has been an asset to her foster carers home, she is very well behaved follows you whereever you are in the house, she just loves to sit on your lap at night and she adores all the attention. Dusty is quite a big Jack Russell weighting around 8kgs. Patches of her fur have been shaved due to her skin problems but when it grows back she will have a lovely coat. Dusty isn't a typical on-the-go-Jack russell she is very laid back and wouldn't need a lot of exercise she is just happy lazying around the house all day. She doesn't walk on the lead but once she gets to know you she will just follow you around off the lead, she is toilet trained and will hold on until she can go outside to do her business. Dusty will be ideally suited to a home where her new mum or dad will be home quite a lot she gets on with other dogs and cats but would prefer to be a only pet so she can get all the attention she deserves. She would not suit a home with children as she can get quite scared if you raise your voice.

Dusty has sadly had additional veterinary expenses due to illness or injury. We are seeking sponsorship for Dusty to help us cover some of those additional costs.
