Spook

Spook

Domestic Medium Hair - female

Introducing beautiful little Spook!

Spook is an extremely sweet-natured little girl, estimated by the vet to be about 8-9 months old.

We found her starving, dehydrated and underweight in Mcmahons Point, but after a magical meowy makeover and some TLC from the legends at Pet Medical Milsons Point, supported by DCH, she’s ready for a new home!

She is THE smoochiest little kitty ever, loves cuddles and sitting on any free lap, never stops purring (even at the vet!), and has just discovered how to play, which she does beautifully.

She is now vaccinated, microchipped, desexed and litter trained. She has been tested for FIV and FeLV and her tests came back clear from those viruses.

Spooky would suit a loving and calm home that can offer plenty of cuddles, warm laps and loyalty. A window for watching the world go by would be grand too - she's very observant.

She needs to go to a home that is happy to have a fully-indoor kitty.

Spook was adopted on 12 November 2023 after 2 weeks in foster care

Percy

Percy

DSH - male

Percy came into care after being found injured on the street, suspected hit by a car. He had to have complete rest for 8 weeks.
Percy still has a limp and is unable to jump like other cats.
What Percy lacks in physical abilities he makes up for with his beautiful gentle nature. Percy is that 1 in a million cat, he is affectionate, placid and follows his foster carer around like a little puppy.

Percy was adopted on 09 October 2023 after 1.3 years in foster care

Veronica

Veronica

DSH - female

As of 15 September, Veronica will be located at PETstock Rouse Hill NSW (Masters Home Improvement Ctr, 1/4 Commercial Rd), and you can visit her during store hours, daily from 9am.

Veronica is now Desexed and fully Vaccinated (until March 2024) and she is very ready to find her Forever Home & Family.

Veronica and her sister Valentine came into DCH care from a rural property when they were about 3-4 months old.

Both kittens have adjusted very well to indoor life and they now love pats and attention.

As Veronica is very playful, it would be preferable if you have another cat or a friendly dog to keep her company, as she has never been by herself and is very animal social!

If you are looking for a friendly, interactive cat that is loads of fun but also quite cuddly, please organise a visit to come and meet Veronica!

Veronica would be great with a family, and although she has not been around young children, she is fine with older children and adults. Veronica recently attended the DCH stall at the 2023 Sydney Cat Lovers Festival and coped very well with all the pats and attention!

The $160 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Vaccination,
  • Desexing
  • So she lives her best and longest life, Veronica must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat. Please indicate if you are willing to do this when you lodge your interest.

Please lodge an "Expression of Interest" in-store at Petstock, Rouse Hill.
PLEASE INCLUDE INFORMATION such as whether you own other pets, if you have a quieter or more chaotic household and any other relevant details so we can determine the best fit for you and the rescue cat.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be an Australian Citizen and over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and, for a kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! 😻

    Cherry

    Cherry

    DSH - female

If you're looking for a fun, playful and smart companion, Cherry is your girl!
She is one of the loveliest, friendly cats I've fostered for a while, a real gentle smoocher (like your classic ragdoll personality) and she's ready and waiting for her perfect forever home to come along. She's a very smart cat and enjoys cat games on the ipad, swatting at objects.

Cherry came into care from the local pound heavily pregnant.
She had 3 little babies and then 5 days after that adopted 2 newborn kittens who's mother had been run over. She was a super-star mum! Looking after her 5 litter cherubs and she's now ready for her forever home after her babies have all gone onto their new homes.

She is an easy going cat, likes being picked up, LOVES neck scratches and doesn't seem phased by the resident dog, or the other cats in the household. She is a very easy cat and will truly fit into most households. She would be ok in a largish apartment or house and she'd be fine in a single person house or just as easily fit into a busy family setting. She would prefer a home with people around half the time to give her lots of cuddles and attention. She will be a great lap cat.

If you would like to meet her please contact us.

Cherry was adopted on 18 September 2023 after 5 months in foster care

    Tilda

    Tilda

    DSH - female

  • Tilda has found her Forever Home! 😻

TILDA UPDATE 11 August (after surgery $1,800)
Following surgery to remove 16 teeth (she still has 14 teeth left), Tilda now has a wonderful long-term prognosis, the same as that of any other healthy cat!

Tilda was found by a member of the public after her mum and siblings were killed by dogs. Tilda came into DCH care when she was about 3 weeks old and has a tiny (painless) kink in the end of her tail.

Tilda is a playful and curious young girl who absolutely loves her food. Tilda has a confident personality and is very much at home exploring all areas of her foster house. As she was bottle-fed from 3 weeks, Tilda loves a cuddle more than most cats, and will snuggle up under your chin at any opportunity.

Tilda can get a little grumpy if she has to share your affection, but she does get along with other cats and dogs - Tilda currently lives with 5 other foster felines and two resident Golden Retrievers.

Tilda is very people-focused and would be suitable in most homes - she would love to be someone’s best friend! 😻

    The $225 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Vaccination,
  • Desexing
  • Tilda is currently vaccinated until 2024.

So she lives her best and longest life, Tilda must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat. Please indicate if you are willing to do this in your email.

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in arranging a visit. PLEASE INCLUDE INFORMATION such as whether you own other pets, if you have a quieter or more chaotic household and any other relevant details.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and, for a kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! 😻

    Peep

    Peep

    DSH - female

Peep wants and desires to be loved, but can be timid when first meeting people. During the day she likes to rest in a pillow and blanket fort (or your lap, if it’s on offer). After dinner she loves to curl up on a lap and accept long full body rubs, then purr away lazily for the night. Peep is happy to do her own thing and is comfortable in her own company but she does gain confidence by watching and interacting with other cats and desperately loves contact affection with other cats.

Peep is happy to hang out in the home office while her carer works from home.

Peep will need a home that can give her the time and space she needs to become comfortable in her new home, and the company of a friendly and smoochy resident cat may help her with this process.

Peep has access outside via a cat run in her foster home, but for her own safety she is looking for forever family that can offer her the protection of growing up inside (or safety outside access).

As well as being raised with her brother Bo, Peep has been raised with other foster kittens, as well as the resident cats, dogs and bunny and she happily co-habits with them all.

Peep has been desexed and she is ready to move to her new home now. Peep has completed her kitten vaccinations, is litter trained and will be up to date with her parasite protection.

As we receive a lot of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Peep was adopted on 10 September 2023 after 1.3 years in foster care

    Lucy

    Lucy

    Domestic short hair - female

Lucy is a beautiful black kitten who is friendly, curious, and loves affection. She came under DCH care with her sister (Sabine). They were both malnourished. However, after a few weeks of good, regular kitten food and plenty of cuddles from their DCH foster carer, they have both thrived, with no lasting effects from their initial malnourishment.

Lucy is a stunning kitten with a sleek and soft coat. She is very friendly and loves to play with balls and feathery, plush kitten toys. Once she knows you, she will often approach you for caresses and cuddles. She loves exploring and enjoys climbing cat trees.

Lucy loves dry and wet kitten food. She is litter-trained, quiet, and does not ruin furniture, clothes or shoes. She has been microchipped and received her first vaccination.

If you are looking for a friendly, sweet, affectionate kitten, then Lucy would love to meet you.

Lucy was adopted on 09 September 2023 after 3 weeks in foster care

    Ed (and Sheeran)

    Ed (and Sheeran)

    Domestic Short Hair - male

Ed and his brother, Sheeran are a bonded pair and looking for a home as a couple.

Ed (along with his brother Sheeran) were strays that found themselves at Hawkesbury Pound. Scared and bewildered, they were taken in by DCH Animal Adoptions to be shown some regular meals, love and affection.

Ed and Sheeran have flourished and turned into little purring machines! They both love playing with each other, chasing each other through the house and playing with the other cats in the house. They love to be picked up together and fall asleep in your arms. As a nightly routine, they've been enjoying their cat games on the ipad, swatting at the screen. They're both incredibly playful and seek out being picked up and cuddled.

Ed is very vocal when hungry and will hang out by your feet in the kitchen waiting for snacks. He will take snacks from your hands when offered and will likely be a good candidate for trick training due to his high food motivation.

Ed Sheeran are getting used to the resident dog, and as young kittens they are very adaptable and will make wonderful pets in a variety of different homes.

If you are looking for a new kitten to join your family and are willing to provide an indoor home for life, please contact us to arrange a meeting.

Ed and Sheeran are in the Adoption Enclosure at PETstock @ Macquarie Centre (North Ryde) and can be visited during store hours.
