How You Can Help Us

As a non-profit association we are always in need of volunteers to help us reach our goals of saving animals from pounds and shelters. There are a number of ongoing tasks that we always need support in and if you think you could help out in any way, big or small, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Foster Care

Once animals are rescued, we need loving homes for them in the greater Sydney area to temporarily stay in until permanent homes can be found. Sometimes this can take months and a serious commitment is required to undertake this work, however it is a very rewarding role and we provide full support. We always need new carers, especially for larger breed dogs, puppies and horses. We can also use help, particularly during the holiday period, with temporary foster carers to assist when our other volunteers are on holidays.

Donations

Donations of towels, dog toys and other pet supplies are always welcome. We would also be grateful for food donations. Our horses need horse rugs, halters, lead ropes, feed bins, buckets and grooming gear. Please use our contact form or call us on 1300-88-93-40.

Kitten/cat wet food
In date kitten formula (di-vetalect)

We also need donations of stamps and printer cartridges to help keep our administrative costs down.

Photography

If you have a good camera and a flair for taking photo's we'd love your help.

We need assistance from time to time to help us take clear and captivating pics of our foster pets to give them the best chance possible of finding forever homes.

Fundraising

We are always in need of volunteers to help out with our ongoing fundraising and promotion. Can you spare half a day to help us at a BBQ or market stall? Can you help with instore promotions in pet stores etc? Do you have your own ideas for ways to help? Then we'd love to hear from you! Driving

We need volunteers who can transport animals from the pounds to our vet clinics and from the clinics to foster carers' homes. Or people who can help with transporting fundraising gear and other items (i.e. blankets) to our carers. This is on an as-needs basis, but we are transporting dogs and cats several times a week at present, and usually around greater Sydney, for example between Western Sydney and the inner city.

Posters

We need volunteers who can print out posters to distribute in their local area. In particular, we are looking for volunteers who can regularly update poster books in their local vet clinics or pet shops. Our adoption fees rarely cover the veterinary costs for our foster animals and your support in helping us financially with some of our special needs pets will help us keep on rescuing more animals in need.
