Cattery is on its way

November 2018

Our long awaited Cattery is under construction...

Be sure to follow our progress as our cattery project comes to life!

Cattery 3

This will house 3-10 cats/kittens and will provide a back up facility to our foster carers. For emergencies and quarantining, the cattery will take the load off our carers when it's needed and ultimately allow us to save more lives.

If you would like to help us complete our cattery you can donate here: https://www.givenow.com.au/cause4002

Petstock National Adoption Day

February 2017

A big Thank You to all the DCH volunteers who attended the National Petrescue/Petstock Adoption Day in 2017.

DCH had a stall at the Marsden Park Petstock which showcased some of our needy rescue pets and was able to advise the public about animal rescue in the community.

And also thanks to the wonderful petstock staff who opened up their store to us on the day.

Hearts Aligned

April 2016

On Tuesday April 26, 2016, David (one of our members) and his rescue dog Jasper attended the launch of Hearts Aligned. It was a great night and Jasper who was very happy that he could bring his tennis ball was a big hit.

The Hearts Aligned initiative follows the real life stories of three Australian pet owners, all who have taken part in a demonstration that shows how dogs help reduce stress levels and improve our lives. You can see the full campaign video on Youtube or the Pedigree website.

New Home for our Rescue Horses

November 2012

Our current foster horses have been looking for a new place to call home for the last 12 months and last month they had their big move. Upgrading their home to a new site, still in the prospect area, and generously donated for our use by Sharp Australia. All horses have settled in nicely to their new abode and we have also built a new shed for storage on the site (pictured below). image! Particular thanks to our volunteer Amanda for getting these new arrangements in place and ensuring all is running smoothly in the new paddock.
