Staffy x - female - 8 years and 1 month
Ellie was rescued from the pound when she was heavily pregnant. All of her puppies found fantastic new homes and now Ellie is looking for her new home as well. Due to her previous situation, she is scared of new people and new environments but once she has settled, she is extremely affectionate and loves to sit on your lap. Ellie is good with other dogs and loves to go for walks in quiet areas. Ellie requires a fully fenced backyard and is not suitable for a unit or apartment
Ellie has been in foster care since 25 September 2021, for 3.1 years

Doug came into care with DCH after being found as a stray and taken to the local pound.
Doug had a HUGE dangling tumor which had impacted his life up until he came to us and had it removed which improved his quality of life.
Doug sits, shakes and has an amazing gentle personality, he is currently in a foster home with cats although he doesn't like them and will need a home with no other dogs or cats.
Doug is a gentle boy and lives with a 5 year old which he enjoys, he loves to attend tea parties with teddies but also likes to follow his foster dad to the shed to work on the car. Doug needs a home where he will be included in the daily life of his family, he has alot of love to give in his senior years and deserves to be loved back.

staffy - female - 4 years and 7 months
Nala has come into care after being found in a park with her 7 puppies in a box. She is a sweet girl that has been easy going while in care and a great mum to her puppies. Nala will sit for a treat when asked and has been an easy going girl to have around.
Nala loves going for walks, she doesn't pull on the lead and would be suited to someone who is retired, who would love a devoted companion and can spend lots of time with her
Nala loves toys and when called has to find a toy to bring to you. If you can give Nala the home she deserves full of love and happiness then please come and meet her.
Nala has been in foster care since 28 March 2023, for 1.6 years
Leonberger x Pyrenean Mountain - female - 9 years
The beautiful Miss Lupa is sadly in need of a new home for her retirement years.
After 8 years she has suddenly developed a dislike for her owner’s 15 year old staffy girl, who is quite frail, quite possibly she is re-acting to the staffy being unwell. Her owner understandably needs to put the staffy first and thus sadly needs a new home for Lupa.
Lupa has otherwise always been good with other dogs. She is a bit shy meeting new people but quickly warms up to them, including kids (this can be quite typical of the breed). It is unknown what she is like with cats, but she does not chase Roos. She loves swimming, going to the park and is fine with vet visits. she is desexed and passed a vet check very recently.
Ideally a home for her would be one experienced with big dogs, with no other girl dogs to be on the safe side - perhaps a male of similar size would be ok. She is currently located in the ACT. Please contact me if you think you are the right home for this beautiful senior girl and I will put you in touch with her owners for a meet and greet.
Jack Russell - female - 7 years and 1 month
Meet Josie, an incredibly outgoing and friendly dog who's ready to find her new family. Josie is a social butterfly who absolutely adores people. Her heartwarming enthusiasm and loving nature will make her the perfect addition to any home that craves constant canine companionship and affection.
Josie enjoys going on walks and exploring her surroundings. She loves nothing more than the feel of grass beneath her paws and the wind in her fur. Despite her playful energy, Josie has a wonderfully balanced personality that includes being a bit of a “lounge lizard.” She relishes at home; after playtime, you’ll often find her lounging and napping comfortably.
Josie would do best as the only dog in your home to soak up all the attention and love for herself. She's very friendly to everyone she meets, and her affectionate nature makes her an ideal match for a family or individual who can shower her with the love and fun she deserves.
If you’re looking for a lively yet lovable companion who enjoys both playtime and lounging around, Josie is the perfect match for you. She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and unwavering loyalty into her new home.
Josie would definitely suit a retired person who would love a constant companion
Josie has been in foster care since 18 September 2024, for 1 month
Staffy x - female - 2 months and 4 weeks
Introducing Lizzie, a little bundle of joy with an endearing calm and sweet personality. As the smallest pup in her litter, Lizzie has faced a unique set of challenges with a condition called Cerebellar Hyperplasia. However, this hasn't dampened her spirit one bit! Lizzie's determination and affectionate nature make her an extraordinary companion.
Despite her condition, Lizzie is an incredibly resilient pup. The vet has informed us that with time, her movements and coordination will improve as she gets bigger and stronger. What Lizzie needs most is a supportive home filled with love, patience, and understanding. Her future family will be rewarded with the purest form of canine affection and loyalty.
Lizzie's gentle demeanor makes her ideal for a calm household where she can receive the care and attention she needs to flourish. Every wag of her tail and sweet nuzzle showcases her undying spirit and the immense love she has to give. If you have room in your heart and home for a special dog who just wants to be loved, Lizzie could be the perfect addition to your family.
Lizzie has been in foster care since 30 September 2024, for 1 month
Cattle dog x Kelpie - male - 2 months and 2 weeks
Ziggy is one of three cattle x kelpie puppies found wandering the streets at 8 weeks of age. He is very affectionate, playful and protective of his sister (Blair) and hoomans he spends a lot of time with.
Ziggy loves to play with balls and sticks, learning how to pick them up and fetch. He loves to go on walks and will run beside you if you start to jog. He loves his food (he is currently eating dry kibble for puppies), and especially loves cuddles.
Despite cattle dogs and kelpies being known for their energy and excitement, Ziggy is not overly-energetic nor overly-exuberant. He is quiet, rarely barking except when he sees a bird nearby or if he is being protective over his sister or his hoomans.
Ziggy is very social, although a little shy at first. But after sniffing the new person or child's hand he quickly shows his affectionate and playful side.
Ziggy will be available to join his forever family from 9 November 2024. If you are looking for a sweet and happy puppy who is affectionate, protective and loyal, Ziggy would love to meet you.
Ziggy has been in foster care since 12 October 2024, for 3 weeks
Cattle dog x Kelpie - female - 2 months and 2 weeks
Blair is one of three cattle x kelpie puppies found wandering the streets at 8 weeks of age. She is very playful, smart and sweet, winning over everyone she meets with her adorable charm.
Blair is learning to play fetch with anything she can get her paws on - balls, sticks, even cat toys (much to the irritation of her foster family's resident cat). Blair has mastered chasing down the thrown ball and walking with the ball in her mouth, but returning the ball to you can be hit-or-miss, depending on whether she gets distracted on her way back to you.
Despite cattle dogs and kelpies being known for their energy and excitement, Blair is not overly-energetic nor overly-excitable. She is quiet except when she sees a bird or stranger nearby. However, once she knows that the stranger or other animal means no harm, she becomes fast friends with them. Blair is very social, often being the first to approach new people (including children) and other animals with a friendly tail-wag. She is affectionate and adventurous.
Blair will be available to join her forever family from 14 December 2024. If you are looking for a playful and adventurous puppy who loves meeting new people and animals, Blair would love to meet you.
Blair has been in foster care since 12 October 2024, for 3 weeks
