Meet Rusti

Rusti and his brothers, Remi and Rudi, are Christmas Eve babies, who came into DCH care at 8 weeks old, and while they had interacted with humans their socialisation was limited and they very scared and hissy their first week in care. After their first week, the boys have really come out of their shells and will seek human attention especially for pats and food, and before you even pat them their little engines are revving and their purrs get quite loud. The ginger-nut boys are very active kittens, and their morning and evening zoomies can get quite energetic.

While the ginger-nut boys have come along way with their socialisation, they are looking for a new family that will understand they may hide the first few days and will need time to settle at their own pace into their new homes and families. Being lovers of food they are very food motivated which goes a long way to gaining their trust. As the boys have not been raised with children, families with children will need to take into consideration that this home environment may take the boys a little longer to become at ease and comfortable.

Rusti is a handsome little ginger and is the vocal kitten of the group often demanding attention, and while Rusti doesn’t like being picked up and cuddled, he is very affectionate and sleeps on his foster carers bed of an evening.

Since coming into care Rusti has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and while he was nervous around the dogs the first couple of weeks, he is a lot more comfortable now and will do the ninja jump at them if they enter a room and he is in a playful mood.

Rusti is ready for his forever home now and he has been desexed, microchipped and he is up to date with his vaccinations and parasite protection.
