Harry

Harry

DSH - male

Harry is a gorgeous, smoochy 8 month old kitten who is cat friendly and loves a pat. He will headbutt you for attention and he will literally roll over in your lap. Harry would love to meet his forever family and he would fit into any family quite easily. He is yet to be tested with dogs and doesn't seem worried by them at this stage.

Vincent

Vincent

DSH - male

This is Vincent! He is a 3yr old desexed and microchipped male. He is affectionate and friendly and loves people and is great with other cats.

We are not sure what his background is but he is very sociable and is in good care now!!

Delilah

Delilah

DSH - female

This is little Delilah, she was a bit shy when first picked her up from the pound but it didn't take long at all (only a few days) for her to come out of her shell!

She is a gorgeous girl with lovely colouring and a wonderful personality. She is very gentle but also has a playful side. She loves chasing her toys around...as well any feet that cross her path when she is feeling cheeky!

She loves cuddles and would follow her new owner around all day if she could! She is also exceptional with her litter tray for such a young girl!

She is such a friendly little girl with lots of love and companionship to give, she would love to find somebody who can show her just as much love in return!

Delilah was adopted on 04 October 2013 after 2 months in foster care

Pickle

Pickle

DMH - male

Pickle was Surrendered to the local pound with 16 other cats by his owner, upon arrival he was filthy and covered in so many fleas that you could see them crawling all over him. He has not had a great life so far and we are looking to rehome him to a family that will let him settle into their home and give him so much love and affection.

Pickle is a nice boy that dosent mind being picked up and likes a pat and scratch behind the ears very much. He had been tested for Feline Aids and is Negative, he is now Desexed, Vaccinated, Microchipped, Flea Treated and Wormed and is a much happier boy for it!

Pickle was adopted on 04 October 2013 after 6 months in foster care

Tucky and Friends

Tucky and Friends

DSH - male

These 4 siblings have had a hard journey so far. Found as strays as very young kittens without a mum, they were luckily able to eat on their own and were cared for by a well meaning lady who paid for their desexing and tried to find them new homes. Unfortunately they weren't being kept in the best environment, so the little girls desexing wound quickly became infected and opened right up, she was terribly sick when she came into DCH care and is being operated on today to clean out and repair the wound.

The boys were ok in this regard but all 4 have come in with the tell tale watery eyes of cat flu and also signs of ringworm. So they've really come in with the lot and have so far spent over a week at our vet clinic. The boys are coming into foster care today but the girl will have to stay until her surgery is over.

These kitten's additional vet costs have so far come to over $600.

Thank you to Winnie and to Tonya for their very generous donations towards the care of these kittens. Their vet bills have now been fully covered.

Tucky and Friends was adopted on 29 September 2013 after 9 months in foster care

Tucky

Tucky

DSH - male

Tucky is a very handsome boy who is currently being fostered by a family with three children. At first he was quite nervous around the kids, however he realised quickly that they aren't that scary. When they get noisy he is more comfortable away from them in a corner somewhere, but when they are calm he will happily sit on their laps for a pat. He is also happy to be picked up by both adults and children and has never bitten or scratched. Tucky has very distinct moods throughout the day - from hungry to sleepy to playful to cuddly. Playtime is mostly in the evenings when he really wakes up and loves to chase around his favourite toy - the pipe cleaner!

Tucky is currently both an inside and outside cat, but always comes back when called and never misses his dinner at 5pm. He is then quite contented to stay in for the night and plonk himself on your lap to sleep. Tucky is litter trained and learning to use his scratching post. He's a lovely boy who is ready for his new home now. He is currently located in Marrickville NSW.

Tucky was adopted on 29 September 2013 after 9 months in foster care

Jay

Jay

DMH - male

Jay is a friendly boy who absolutely loves attention and cuddles. He is very active and enjoys playing with toys and with the other foster cats in the household. Jay is excellent with children and babies, and will even let his foster carer's three month old baby grab for him and all he does is headbutt her in return!

Jay is litter trained and is learning to use his scratching post. He does have access to the outdoors during the day, however he prefers the company of humans and sometimes won't bother venturing outside. The only negative thing about this beautiful boy is that sometimes he can be a little too rough when playing with his brother Kay, so a home where he is the only cat or lives with another dominate cat would be preferable.

He is ready for his new home now!

Jay was adopted on 20 September 2013 after 1 month in foster care

Grace

Grace

DSH - female

Grace is such a beautiful Girl and as her name suggests she is very Graceful. She is cat friendly, playful and litter trained.

Grace comes micro-chipped, wormed with de-sexing included as well as her first Vaccination. Grace would benefit for an indoor only home. She has a loud purr and is super affectionate.

Little Gracie really deserves the absolute best as she will make you smile every time you see her.

Grace was adopted on 16 September 2013 after 2 months in foster care

Puddin

Puddin

DSH - male

Puddin was found at the local shops locked in a cat carrier with her brother and their mum, riddled with fleas, worms and grossly underweight. They were taken to the local pound where their owners were called as they forgot mum was microchipped. They had already been dumped by them once as they didn't want them anymore so they surrendered them to the pound.

Puddin has grown into a very loving, happy, healthy and playful little girl who is waiting for that loving home she so deserves to come along where she will be an indoor cat only and ideally have a friendly companion cat as company as she loves other cats. Initially she can be a little nervous in new situations so she may need a little time to settle into the routine of her new home.

Puddin takes advantage of a welcoming lap anytime it is available, loves to sleep on the bed with you and gently knead you with her paws to say goodnight before she drifts off to sleep. She is such a beautiful little girl with a best nature to match who cant wait to have a forever home of her very own.

Puddin was adopted on 16 September 2013 after 3 months in foster care

Rafiki

Rafiki

DSH - male

He is now in foster care and what a totally diffrent boy he is!

Loves to sit on his carers lap for a cuddle and is a happy boy.

If you can offer him a home please send us an email.
